An innovative blend of five UV filters for ultimate shielding against damaging UVA & UVB rays to prevent wrinkles, loss of firmness and discolouration – all with zero white cast.
Shields the skin from damaging UVA & UVB rays
Prevents premature signs of ageing
Hydrates and leaves a dewy, healthy glow
Rather than just one filter, this synthetic-only UV shield is crafted with an innovative blend of five state-of-the-art filters for ultimate protection against damaging UV rays. Prevent wrinkles, loss of firmness and discolouration with this sophisticated sun protection that's less likely to provoke a sensitised response due to the integrated filters' larger molecular size, ensuring they stay on the skin's surface rather than seeping into the pores. The formula has a comfortable, sheer finish with zero white cast, containing emollients for a glowy, dewy and hydrated application that feels closer to a moisturiser than a sun cream.

How to use a moisturiser
Use as the last step in any morning skincare routine and apply liberally at least 15 minutes before stepping into sun exposure. As always, it's best to reapply every two hours once the skin has been exposed to direct sunlight. Prime the face well for make-up and keep your skin awake & dewy beneath foundation or concealer – as this formula allows make-up to hold onto the skin’s surface more easily, making it less likely to smear during long hours of wear.
Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate (9.5%); Ethylhexyl Salicylate (4.5%); Ethylhexyl Triazone (4%); Methylene Bis-Benzotriazolyl Tetramethylbutylphenol (3.5%); Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine (2.5%).
No, this moisturiser is a synthetic-only sunscreen that includes a blend of five UV filters that work together to provide highly stable broad spectrum (UVA & UVB) protection.
No, it is not water resistant. If you sweat or swim, it's important to wear a water-resistant sunscreen and carefully follow the reapplication directions.
Yes, this SPF moisturiser does include a combination of highly stable UV filters that provide reliable broad spectrum (UVA & UVB) protection. We are proud to say that all Paula's Choice sunscreens have passed the European Union Cosmetic Regulations tests for broad spectrum sun protection.
Yes, it is. The lightweight, fluid texture leaves skin with a hydrated glow that's not oily or greasy, thanks to its advanced filters. As a result, it's unlikely that this formula would clog pores or trigger acne as it's designed to not stimulate oil glands/ produce sebum.
The difference is that this day moisturiser contains a range of UV filters that are part of the wider mix. Most of these filters have a larger molecular size compared with standard UV filters approved for global use. This larger size keeps them on the skin’s surface, where they’re less likely to lead to a sensitised response that some people experience when using non-mineral sunscreens.
PA (short for: Protection of UVA) is a Japanese rating system widely used in Europe and Asia that measures how much UVA protection a product offers. The higher the number of pluses, the higher the protection. Below are the ratings: PA+ Some UVA protection PA++ Moderate UVA protection PA+++ High UVA protection PA++++ Extremely High UVA protection SPF (Sun Protection Factor) measures how much UVB protection a product offers in terms of percentage. Here’s a breakdown: SPF 15 blocks 93% of UVB rays SPF 30 blocks nearly 97% SPF 50 blocks 98% SPF 100 blocks 99% One rating is not better than the other. Each provides specific information about how a product will perform in key areas. Whether a sunscreen uses the PA rating system or not, a well-formulated sunscreen rated SPF 30 or higher with broad spectrum (UVA & UVB) protection is your best bet.
Sunscreens with synthetic actives can be challenging for those with sensitive skin. We encourage experimentation to see what works best for your skin. You can do this by testing the product in a small area to see how your skin responds. If you experience sensitisation, we recommend selecting a mineral option instead.
Yes. This product can be used around the eye and orbital bone. In general, we don’t recommend applying this product directly to your eyelid or too close to your lash line.
To get the right amount of protection, apply the product liberally. When the skin is exposed to direct sunlight, reapply every two hours. Since this daytime moisturiser with sunscreen is not water-resistant, it is not recommended for use while swimming or when you know you'll be perspiring heavily.
Yes. While we typically recommend SPF as your last daytime step, applying makeup on top is fine if you're following these simple steps: Wait 3-5 minutes for the sun cream to set before applying foundation Apply foundation in smooth, downward motions with no rubbing back and forth Do not use excess pressure or over-blend Even better is to opt for a foundation, BB cream or tinted moisturiser that contains sunscreen too – layering is a great way to ensure maximum protection!
